Using hacked clients, programs, mods, or resource packs that give an unfair advantage is not allowed. This includes x-ray resource packs that reveal hidden blocks or ores and mods that make invisible players visible.
Each person is allowed only one Minecraft account. If multiple people use the same network, submit a support ticket on our Discord server to request an exception.
Evading punishments like mutes or bans by using alternate accounts is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to do so will result in all related accounts being banned.
Players who help others break rules may be punished based on the severity of the offense. If you discover a bug or glitch, report it to support immediately. Taking advantage of bugs will result in penalties.
Any action that disrupts server operations is not allowed. This includes intentionally causing lag, interfering with staff duties, submitting unnecessary support tickets, or launching denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks. Severe disruptions that impact server uptime will be reported to the server provider and relevant authorities.
We take user privacy seriously. Sharing personal information in server chats, Discord, or any other communication platforms managed by staff—especially for blackmail, harassment, or defamation—is strictly prohibited.
Players may not sell or rent in-game items or ranks for real money. The only approved way to purchase items or ranks is through the World of Nations Rank Store.
Ore farms and any farm that generates Gold (server currency) are not allowed. Redstone contraptions that cause server lag may be disabled or removed.

2 - User Behavior

These rules apply both in-game and in any communication platforms managed by server administrators. Chats outside of World of Nations will not be considered as valid evidence when reporting a player.

2.1 - Sharing Media and Advertising

Sharing media or links unrelated to World of Nations is not allowed. This includes posting external links, Discord invites, or any other promotional content. Videos or streams must be directly related to the server, such as gameplay or town showcases. Posting malicious links or harmful content in any form is strictly prohibited.

2.2 - Chat Spam

Spamming the chat by repeatedly sending messages in quick succession is not allowed. This includes excessive use of capital letters, repeated text, duplicate messages, copypastas, emojis, videos, images, links, GIFs, or mass pings.

2.3 - Toxic Behavior

Toxicity is not tolerated. All players are expected to remain respectful in chat. Severe toxicity will be punished based on its severity. This includes the use of slurs, threats of violence, bullying, harassment of players or staff, and excessive profanity.

2.4 - Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will be dealt with based on severity. Bypassing the chat filter is not allowed. Examples of prohibited behavior include racism, hate speech, slurs, encouraging self-harm, discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation, promotion of Nazism, and discussions of explicit sexual content.

2.5 - Impersonation

Pretending to be someone else is not allowed. This includes changing your username, town name, or nation name to mimic another player. Impersonating staff members in any way is strictly prohibited.

3 - Towny

3.1 - Town Claims

Towns cannot block other towns from expanding by claiming land unfairly. Narrow claim arms (1-2 chunks wide) that extend outward without a valid reason are not allowed if there is open space available nearby. Staff will determine if a claim is blocking another town. Hollow claims, where land is claimed in a way that creates empty wilderness within a town's borders to appear larger on the map, are also prohibited.

3.2 - Proximity Griefing

Griefing in the wilderness near towns is not allowed. Staff may roll back damage, issue warnings, or ban players if the griefing is severe. If a town is near the ruins of an old town, they may request a rollback of the surrounding area.

3.3 - Extreme Griefing

Creating large destructive structures, such as lava casts, cobblestone monsters, lava or water curtains, or TNT craters, is not allowed. Mass spawning entities that cause server lag may lead to those entities being removed. Griefing of ice roads and minecart railways in both the Overworld and Nether is prohibited if they connect two or more towns.

3.4 - Artificial Landmasses

Building artificial islands is not allowed. Expanding existing islands may be permitted depending on their size, but staff will determine if the expansion is reasonable. Large islands such as Crete, Cyprus, Jamaica, the Canary Islands, the Philippines, Australia, and Mars cannot be removed.

3.5 - Spawn Trapping

Players cannot trap others in their town’s home block or surrounding chunks to harm them or prevent teleportation. The protected area includes a one-chunk (16-block) radius from the edge of the town’s home block. If a town is small and its claims do not extend beyond this radius, only claimed chunks within it will be protected. Unclaimed chunks outside of this radius are not protected from spawn trapping rules. Players cannot forcibly keep others inside their town and prevent them from leaving.

3.6 - Portal Trapping

Blocking portals to prevent players from accessing their inventory or chat is not allowed. A one-block space must be left around all portals.

3.7 - Map Art

Map art must not contain inappropriate images or violate any part of Rule 2. Map art can be placed anywhere, though Antarctica is recommended as a good location.

3.8 - Stealing, Insiding, and Raiding

Town mayors and assistants are responsible for securing their items. Stealing is allowed. Players may grief inside towns by insiding, and staff may roll back damage to builds. However, stolen chests and items will not be restored.

Fictional names are not allowed. The name should also be relevant to the location of the capital town and must be written in English characters or include a translation. Nation names must not violate any part of Rule 2.

If your preferred nation name is already taken, you may use the name of a state, province, or a large geographical area with clearly defined borders. Staff will determine if a nation name meets these requirements. Players who break this rule may have their nation renamed and face further punishment if they continue to violate it.

4.2 - Town Names

Town names must follow Rule 2 and must be written in English characters or include a translation.

4.3 - Titles

Town and nation titles, surnames, and nicknames must comply with Rule 2.
